I had gotten a bit tired of Jessica Simpson, but this CD was refreshing. I think country music is where her heart is, and I enjoyed listening to the storylines played out in each song. My favorite CD of hers.
Let's just say the songwriting is HORRENDOUS. Jessica Simpson's voice is absolutely amazing. Oh it just totally kills the album. She can really belt it out. Then why 2 stars. Not one single catchy song. It is a could have been.
Ever since In This Skin I have been scratching my head and thinking where did her voice go. I feel sorry for this poor little girl, she can't sing country. What happpened to that big, beautiful voice that I loved on her debut album, Sweet Kisses - now that was magic. Come On Over is laughable, she tries so hard to do that country twang - i'ts painful to hear. I want my old Jess back, I know she's in there somewhere.
Never really enjoyed her voice when she sang her pop songs in the past, but I was pleasantly surprised by this album. Jessica Simpson sings very well in this pop country album, and each song is remarkably beautiful. It's all heart and soul, making this album, in my view, the best out of all the other albums she has made.
The song "Do you know" is catchy but overall, this is pop, folks. She just try everything to be successful but her talent is so so. "Jack of all trade" I must say. The handbags sale maybe better for her.
